Ayrshire Food Hub is taking root deep within the agricultural heartland of the west of Scotland. Located just outside Hurlford, the Hub is home to our café , a development kitchen, meeting room, a growing garden, and our Ayrshire farm shop, which will also distribute fresh local produce online.
Celebrating local producers, Ayrshire Food Hub supports local talent and shares fresh, vibrant food from Ayrshire whilst cutting food miles. Ayrshire food from Ayrshire folk.
With our parent charity, Crossroads Community Hub, at the heart of the project, there will be new opportunities for everyone. Exercise, health, leisure, and learning activities all with local as the central focus. Plus, cooking classes for all ages, rural craft and gardening groups, fitness groups and kids’ classes. We want to create a dynamic hub of activity where community support and cultural activities can flourish. Read more…

We have opened the doors to the café and offer you all a warm welcome! Whether it’s a quick bite for breakfast, brunch with friends, a laid-back lunch or somewhere to take the kids, our Ayrshire café is open to everyone.
Nestled in the Irvine Valley, we find ourselves located amongst many great local producers. So it only makes sense that we would make the most of all that fresh local produce ourselves! The friendly faces at our Ayrshire café will offer up coffees, cakes, snacks and more. We use ingredients either from our own growing areas or supplied by trusted local producers in a sustainable and responsible way. Seasonal produce will be used in hearty family favourites, from a menu developed by our classically trained lead chef, our expert baker, and the rest of our team in the kitchen.
Our development kitchen will offer a high-quality professional workspace for ambitious food start-ups looking to upscale their prep and production. For all the innovative foodies out there, aspiring to share their cooking or baking talents with the world, we know that having a dedicated space to develop, test and perfect your creations can help you fulfil your ambitions. We want to help burgeoning local talents make their mark on Scotland’s fantastic culinary scene with their own signature bakes. The development kitchen will also double as a training unit for budding food workers keen to learn new skills in prepping, cooking and storing food safely. Fitted with modern, commercial-standard appliances, our test kitchen could be home to your newest, tastiest creation yet.
