Spicy Veggie Bean Burger
Ingredients
- 1 slice of bread
- ½ an onion
- 1 green chilli
- 1x 400g can of red kidney beans
- 1x teaspoon of chilli powder
- 1x teaspoon of mixed herbs
Method

- Whizz the bread into breadcrumbs in a blender.
- Finely chop the onion, deseed and chop the chilli.
- Combine the chopped onion, chopped chilli and breadcrumbs with all of the other ingredients before transferring back to the blender and whizzing until combined.
- Flour your work surface well. Tip the mixture onto the work surface. Using your hands, push the mixture all together to form into a small loaf shape. Then cut this into portions and shape into burgers. Place the burgers onto a baking sheet.
- Grill for 8 minutes, turning halfway.
