Spicy Veggie Bean Burger


  • 1 slice of bread
  • ½ an onion
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1x 400g can of red kidney beans
  • 1x teaspoon of chilli powder
  • 1x teaspoon of mixed herbs


    1. Whizz the bread into breadcrumbs in a blender.
    2. Finely chop the onion, deseed and chop the chilli.
    3. Combine the chopped onion, chopped chilli and breadcrumbs with all of the other ingredients before transferring back to the blender and whizzing until combined.
    4. Flour your work surface well. Tip the mixture onto the work surface. Using your hands, push the mixture all together to form into a small loaf shape. Then cut this into portions and shape into burgers. Place the burgers onto a baking sheet.
    5. Grill for 8 minutes, turning halfway.
